Turmeric and arthritis

Healthy Diet
The most important about diet is that it must be balanced with nutrient content. Although there is no special diet for arthritis, many people affected by rheumatoid arthritis say that avoiding or consuming certain foods helps to relieve symptoms. Food rich in saturated fats (bacon, roast, butter) have been shown to increase inflammation in the body. Many people with rheumatoid arthritis consider a diet rich in Omega 3 fatty acids (salmon, tofu, nuts) as a great help.
Some people think that other foods like tomatoes, citrus, white potatoes, peppers and coffee are worsening AR symptoms.
Cherries
Some researches has shown that certain compounds present in cherries can be useful in reducing inflammation and pain in people suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. The University of Michigan's Health System states that people who consume 230 grams of cherry a day for several weeks have seen significant changes in pain levels and a reduction in stiffness, pain and inflammation of the joints. Any type of cherry can provide antioxidants and anthocyanins that reduce inflammation; however, it seems that raw cherries and cherry juice offer the best relief. Make a daily consumption of about 230g of cherry or drink two glasses of cherry juice a day during an acute attack. The "Pharmaceutical Guide to Natural Preparations in the Home" recommends mixing 120ml of unsweetened cherry juice with 120-180ml of water.
Ginger
It is an effective natural treatment for rheumatoid arthritis. Oriental medical practitioners have used ginger over time to reduce joint pain and inflammation, according to the "Green Pharmacy Herbal Handbook". Here it is shown that ginger has the largest and most appropriate content of chemical compounds that increase the immune system's response. Drink fresh ginger tea prepared from a piece of 2.5 cm raw ginger in a cup of hot water infused for 15 minutes. Remove the ginger and leave the tea to cool. Add honey to sweeten it. Ginger has a soothing effect on the stomach and is effective in reducing pain throughout the body. Ginger can thin the blood, so consult your doctor before consuming it for medical purposes if you are taking blood thinning medication. You can also use ginger tincture without sugar or alcohol.
Pineapple
Pineapple contains enzymes that reduce inflammation. Pineapple contains an enzyme called bromelain, known for its ability to reduce the inflammation and stiffness associated with rheumatoid arthritis or any other type, according to the Maryland Medical Center. The raw or dehydrated pineapple and its juice are the best sources of this important enzyme. If you can not eat pineapple or drink juice, you can purchase bromelain capsule supplements from most healthy food stores. In order to obtain the best results in the treatment of inflammation, capsules should be given between meals. Because bromelain may thin the blood, consult your doctor before starting a bromelain regimen if you are taking blood thinning medication.
Turmeric
If you suffer from arthritis or hurt your wrists, the Indian spice will do wonders for you. All you have to do is use one or two tablespoons of turmeric in the food you cook (on meat or rice) and you will feel better.
