Appearance:

Annual crop species with a 20 to 60 cm high bluish stem, with small oval leaves, on both sides of the paros.

The flowers are small and grouped in globular inflorescences, in the upper leaves of the leaves.

The smell and taste of leaves and flowers is pleasantly aromatic, characteristic.

Active constituents:

  • Essential oil, ursolic acid, eugenol, linalol, ocimene, beta-sitosterin.

Healing properties:

Due to the high volatile oil content, it is recommended in stomach dispensing as antiseptic and carminative. In aromatherapy, diluted essential oil is recommended both internally and externally in frostbite, peripheral circulation, muscle aches, bronchial asthma, cough, intestinal colic, amenorrhea, guturai, headache, migraine, nervous tension, stress, insomnia.
