Appearance:

The plant's outer whorl of its small blue flowers has a caplike appearance.

It is slender, heavily branched and grows to a height of three feet and blooms each July.

Healing Properties:

Skullcap has been used as an anticonvulsant, for antiallergic treatment, for muscle spasms, sleeplessness, restlessness and tremors.
