Chronic Benign Hyperthyroidism

Description. Symptoms.

It is a mild type of thyroid insufficiency that is quite common and difficult to diagnose.

Symptoms of chronically benign hypothyroidism have nothing specific, as they are seen in many affections. The patient is cold, constipated, always complaining of fatigue, memory disturbances and sleepiness, and the teguments are dry and cold.

Basic metabolism is sometimes only low. Other tests for thyroid function may be normal.

The only one able to diagnose the diagnosis is the therapeutic trial of thyroid hormones. Under thyroid treatment, the patient feels good, and the disorder disappears.
