Asbestosis causes

  • The disease occurs in workers who process asbestos and it has a chronic but irreversible development even after interruption of contact with toxins.

It manifests clinically initially with cough and dyspnea. With time, respiratory failure occurs with asphyxia and cyanosis, bronchopulmonary infections, chronic pulmonary cord and quite often bronchial cancer.

Diagnosis is indicated by professional history and radiological examination.
